The Hon. Pamela N. Parsons comes from Spaniards Bay, Newfoundland.

Before turning to elected politics, she worked in journalism for over a decade. She became Deputy Speaker of the Newfoundland and Labrador Legislature – only the third woman to serve in that position – and followed that by becoming the Minister Responsible for Women and Gender Equality.
